7:5 Daily Prompt: Key Takeaway

Welcome to my most popular WordPress Post

Daily Prompt: Key Takeaway

Give your newer sisters and brothers-in-WordPress one piece of advice based on your experiences blogging.

If you’re a new blogger, what’s one question you’d like to ask other bloggers?

(Make sure to visit one another’s posts today, to check ‘em out and respond!)

Hello Brother’s & Sister’s of WP.

My one piece of advice on Blogging on WordPress or any other platform is this:

Make it fun.

Blogging isn’t a chore.

It’s getting you’re words onto the screen for others to read.

For them to soak it in like a sponge.

It’s as simple as that.

If it’s no longer fun for you and you feel like that it is too time consuming then it’t time for you to go back to basics, and re-assess why you started in the first place.

Yes i too get days where i don’t want to blog, or have nothing to blog about.

The Daily post has been a godsend to me in that regard. I have loved the challenge of the Prompts.

Leave a comment and a link to you’re blog and let me know what you’re advice to a new blogger is.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my ravings and ramblings. Grab a comfortable chair and a hot coffee and spend a little time wandering around my little world. I have been blogging on various blog platforms for many years and thought i would dabble into the murky waters of wordpress again. I am a Home Executive Blogger who blogs too much and takes too many photos. I am a collector of memories, moments and relish in the snippets and slices of everyday life, I like to call myself an everyday life photo journalist. I live with my beloved husband, daughter, 2 shitzu dogs, and 1 crazy cat near the sea in Tasmania. We own a Metal Detecting Business. We owner built our own house in Western Australia. We are currently building a Gypsy Wagon / Caravan. I love home decorating.

  1. I agree. When blogging becomes a chore, it is time to take a break and recharge. You will then come back with even more ideas :)

  2. Thanks, Nicole, for this. As Ben and Jerry famously said (now bumper-stickerized), “If it’s not fun, why do it?” I might add – if you are not having fun writing the blog, chances are extremely good it will not be fun to read!!! I have yet to write my own thoughts on this; only ONE piece of advice? Hmmmmm . . .

    • Last week my blog reflected what a crappy week i had, reading back through the posts i can see that. I say the same with the photo a day challenge, make it fun.

      Looking forward to you’re post.

  3. Ooooh you’ve got a very cool blog!!! Love the red banners and typography… I agree, the daily prompts are quite a boost on those uninspired days when the urge and time to write is there but the good ideas aren’t… :) beautiful!! alexandra

    • Thanks Alexandra. This theme is only a new one on here. Turning 40 i wanted a more grown up feel to my blog. I look forward to the prompts each day really gets the brain running.

      • Well Happy 40th Nicole, my 40th also served as inspiration for trying something new, writing my blog was that new experience…that was a little over a year ago, i just turned 41… hope you get a chance to click on over, I’ve got this category titled TURNING 40 that i bet (hope) you’ll enjoy reading ;) checking tha daily prompt is what I do right after I get the coffee maker going though I don’t always get a chance to post, but i do make an effort when the prompt detonates a huge explosion of ideas in my head…that kind of inspiration can’t be dismissed :)
