When my dad passed away we (Mum, Stepdad, Stepmum, Auntie, Uncle, Brother & Sister etc) where at the funeral parlour. The Funeral lady was taking us through all of the information on what we should expect, and what was required, and got to the part about the casket. She looked at me and my stepfather and said “You two will both need bigger caskets”, i could have vanished into the chair, i was so embarrassed.

Even now well over two years later her one simple statement has stayed with me. I was from march until a few weeks ago on the Michelle Bridges Programme, and i did lose some of the weight, but i also put more back on.

Last week i did over 71 thousand steps, and once or twice a week i walk, i use the treadmill & wii fit, i even went swimming while we where away last week, something i haven’t done since around 2009. So it’s not like i am not trying to lose weight.

Dad always called it the green winter coat. i have been wearing mine for a very long time, hopefully one day i will be able to shed it..

  1. I can still see the face of the saleslady who LOUDLY told me, “We don’t carry your size,” before she even asked me what I wanted. **sigh. Take care.

  3. It’s apparent in today’s society that people don’t fully comprehend how their words can engrave into a person’s mind for several years to come. I can’t believe someone could or WOULD say something like that, especially during a time of heartache. Good Job on the 71,000 steps—that’s awesome!
Hope you have a great day,

    XOXO,
