Life at Number 6

EST. 2005-2017

What are some of the stories you loved hearing from your mother’s youth? From your grandmothers’ younger days?

I wish i still had both my Mum & grandmother around to ask these questions. Some days I find it so hard to remember what their stories where, today is one of those days.

Mum’s parents both passed when she was young so she was brought up by an Aunt. She considered my Grandmother (Dad Mum). as her 2nd Mum.

  • She met my dad when working in a factory, in i think 1968. She was 18, Dad would have been 15/16. He used to send her Paperclip Necklaces and Call her Maid Marion to his Robin Hood.
  • They had a saying Irky Perky Turkey and they would wave there finger around.
  • There song was Stand By Me.

* I have now packed all of my photos away and even finding these ones took some effort. i think these have been scanned or found on Facebook.

I really don’t have any stories of my grandmothers Youth 😦 i have some photos, (packed) but i don’t know the stories that go with them.
