2018 / new year A brand new you

A brand new you, effective tomorrow!
Tomorrow is the first day of a brand new year. Tomorrow you get to become anyone in the world that you wish. Who are you? If you decide to stay “you” share your rationale.

As much as I would love to change things about me there’s no magic pill or genie that’s going to make me a skinny, taller, blonde with perfect looks. So I will be starting out 2018 as me. The Nic that I have been for the past 44 years.

I have many goals that I would love to achieve,

  1. Lose weight
  2. Workout
  3. Drink more water
  4. Eat more vegetables
  5. Walk more
  6. Less time binge watching Netflix / Stan / Foxtel Now / YouTube
  7. Walk the dog
  8. Go to bed before the next day
  9. Learn something new
  10. Cook from scratch more

  1. Be more organised
  2. Meal plan
  3. Get the house sorted out
  4. Plan more events
  5. Finally catch up with family

  1. Less time online
  2. Don’t take phone in bedroom
  3. Read more
  4. Don’t stay home all of the time
  5. Blog again

  1. Don’t take things to heart.
  2. Let go of the past you can’t change it.
  3. Make friends.
  4. Smile.
  5. You can still grieve in your own ways and remember those you have lost.
  6. Work on the family history again

  1. Stop taking Jack for granted. He shouldn’t be doing everything.
  2. Spend more time together
  3. More photos of the two of us.
  4. More coffee dates
  5. Work on our love story book

  1. Spend less time yelling at each other
  2. More time together chatting
  3. Go out for coffee or to a movie
  4. More family time
  5. More photos
  6. Less cleaning and organising
  7. More hugs
